2024, marks 30 years of the Pennant Canada business after starting in Ottawa on January 4, 1994 as Omega Logistics of Canada. In 1999, Pennant International Group acquired the Canadian company (and its sister companies in USA, UK and Australia). This acquisition completed a Pennant vision to expand the existing Pennant business with an ILS/Supportability software and services capability, providing worldwide customers with a ‘One Company, One Solution’ package across the three key areas of Logistics Support Analysis, Technical Training, and Technical Documentation solutions.
From 2000, Pennant Canada – as part of Team IBM with SAP – has delivered Integrated Product Support (IPS) components of the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) Materiel Acquisition and Support Information System (MASIS), which are now incorporated within the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) enterprise solution. Over this period, Pennant Canada has improved our OmegaPS software suite to better serve the needs of DND and their industry providers, and has grown a recognised and respected IPS consulting service to assist them in managing and improving their IPS solutions.
Today, the Canadian office is leading the development of ‘next generation’ software products to provide a fully integrated, enterprise IPS solution, including GenS, Analyzer and our R4i S1000D publications suite. As Pennant Canada looks forward to the next chapter of our exciting journey, their strong team is applying their knowledge, experience and development skills to support all our customers in the ever-evolving world of Integrated Product Support.
