Pennant Software Services Ltd has successfully installed OmegaPSi LSAR into Alenia Aeronautica, a Finmeccanica Company, in Turin, Italy.
The software will be initially used for the Turkish MELTEM III Anti Submarine Warfare (ASW) variant of aircraft based on ATR 72-500 commercial aircraft.
Alenia Aeronautica is responsible for the design, integration of the mission system, certification, modification and Initial Logistic Support of the aircraft.
Pennant Software Services Ltd will be working with Alenia Aeronautica in rolling out a larger installation integrated into the Alenia IBM Web sphere portal technology.
This important contract paves the way for future work on the C- 27J transporter for the Italian Air Force and other associated projects.
