Pennant Awarded contract for an additional 9 Genskill, Hand Skills Trainers for DCAE Sultan

Pennant Training Systems Limited (Pennant) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by the Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering (DCAE) to supply an additional 9 GenSkill, ‘Hand Skills Trainer’ devices to DCAE Sultan. This will bring the total number of GenSkill in-service with DCAE to 36.

The training devices will be used to train Royal Navy aeronautical trainees in basic hand skills including the removal and refitting of representative aircraft components, rigid and flexible pipes, electrical connectors, Line Replacement Items and push pull rod controls. These tasks will be carried out whilst working through access apertures in a simulated aircraft fuselage following the removal of quick release fasteners and panels. Tasks will also include the use of general hand tools, torque loading and wire locking.

The Hand Skill Trainers, marketed by Pennant as ‘GenSkill’ is a complementary trainer to the Pennant supplied ‘GenFly’, flying controls and aircraft systems trainers, already in service with DCAE. GenFly has raised significant interest from a number of overseas air force training schools.

Pennant Training Systems Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pennant International Group plc, based in Cheltenham, England and is listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange.
