We are pleased to celebrate the remarkable career of Tammy Halter, Pennant’s Director of Technology & Innovation, as she embarks on her well-deserved retirement.
Tammy joined the Pennant family when Absolute Data Group (ADG) was acquired by Pennant in 2020. ADG, founded in 1997 by Tammy and her husband Michael Halter, is where the innovative ‘R4i’ technical documentation software that provides users with a dynamic, S1000D-compliant solution, alongside maintenance, and consultancy services.
In 1987, prior to the start of ADG, Tammy spent time in the Royal Australian Navy as an Air Avionics Technician, following a family tradition of five generations in the military. In 1988, Tammy received her “birdy” badge with a “C” rate on this specific model, with other impressive career highlights such as completing 1500ft static line jumps and in 1991, receiving a Captain’s Commendation during a personnel shortage – a wonderful recognition for Tammy, who at the time not only carried out her technical duties but also the workload of two other roles.
Since joining Pennant, Tammy has been a familiar face at S1000D and IPS User Forum events and a key webinar presenter for the Group. One of her significant achievements was developing the vision for the integrated IPS software suite, now known as Auxilium. Her visionary leadership and innovative approach have been instrumental in driving Pennant’s software strategy.
As Tammy steps aside, the Auxilium system support software suite has an exciting future with James St George, Chief Product Officer, at the helm. To mark this milestone, we are releasing the latest version of the suite today (31st March). Keep an eye on our channels for the latest updates.
Tammy said: “Although it is a point in time and the end to an era for me personally, it is not the end for the team, the products or the Pennant business. With the benefit of both a mature and experienced team and product offering, combined with the next generation of people bringing a more integrated suite of products to market, I am looking forward to watching Pennants continued growth.”
Phil Walker, Pennant CEO said “As Tammy retires, we extend her our heartfelt gratitude for her dedication, leadership, and passion. Thank you, Tammy, for everything you have done for Pennant and for our customers. We wish you all the best in your retirement!”
