The Pennant Team attended the Indo-Pacific Expo at the International Convention Centre Sydney over the course of the 7th to 9th of November.
Stavros Tsolakides, General Manager – Indo Pacific (interim) said:
“The Indo Pacific Expo never disappoints. It’s been another successful exhibition for the Pennant Team.
This was probably the largest Indo Pacific we’ve attended. The noticeable difference this year was the number of Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) exhibiting at the expo. We were able to catch up with existing partners, connect with new like-minded SMEs, and have some in-depth discussions on upcoming engagement programs.
There were many highlights of the exhibition. One of our first visits was to see the BPS Defence crew. An SME from Wollongong, they have gone from strength to strength. Both Pennant and BPS are great examples of how smaller SMEs can provide sovereign capability and support the Australian Defence Industry.
We then carried on our visits, next stopping at EOS. Pennant is supporting EOS on various projects, and it was great to see their precision weapon systems up close. We then ventured to EM Solutions. We are currently working closely with EM Solutions in support of a recently awarded SATCOM systems contract. They have a great close-knit team and are another example of how an SME is contributing to the defence of our nation.
Lastly, after “walking the floor” all day, it was good to head to familiar grounds at the NSW Government stand and take a breather. NSW Government worked tirelessly to pull the event together and like previous years, did an amazing job.”
